The wave of demonstrations on October 4th 2012 was timed to coincide with “GridWeek,”a conference held in Washington D.C. by industry and government proponents of the smart grid. They heard the public speak out loud and clear:

“WE REFUSE YOUR ‘SMART’ METERS!!”
